Mike Massimino is a New York Times bestselling author, television commentator, international speaker, and consultant for the space industry and entertainment sectors. A former astronaut, he is known for his expertise and experience, having completed two missions to the Hubble Space Telescope. One of these missions included the final Hubble servicing mission, widely regarded as one of the most dangerous and complex in space shuttle history. During his time in space, he set a team record with his crewmates for the most cumulative spacewalking hours on a single mission. Massimino is often cited as the real-life inspiration for George Clooney’s character in the movie Gravity.
