Emma Heming Willis is a British-American model, entrepreneur, bestselling author, and one of the nation’s most prominent caregiving advocates. Born on June 18, 1978, in Malta, she was raised in North London and California. Discovered in the early 1990s, she built a distinguished two-decade modeling career, walking runways for Chanel, Valentino, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, and Victoria’s Secret, and gracing the covers of Vogue, Elle, Glamour, and W Magazine.
Beyond modeling, Emma established herself as a serial entrepreneur. In 2016, she founded CocoBaba, a vegan, sustainably produced skincare line. In 2023, she co-founded Make Time Wellness with Helen Christoni, a science-backed supplement brand focused on women’s brain health, where she serves as Co-Founder and Chief Impact Officer. She also co-hosts the Make Time Podcast, a biweekly show exploring wellness, brain health, and self-care for women.
Emma’s life took an unexpected turn when her husband, iconic actor Bruce Willis, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2022. Rather than retreat from the spotlight, she channeled her experience into powerful advocacy. Her memoir, The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path, published by The Open Field (a Penguin Random House imprint) in September 2025, debuted at number two on The New York Times Best Seller list. The book has become an essential resource for the more than 53 million Americans serving as unpaid caregivers.
Emma has been honored with an Honorary Clio Health Award for her leadership in caregiving and women’s brain health, and has received recognition from the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement. She has shared her story on national platforms including a primetime ABC special with Diane Sawyer, Good Morning America, the TODAY Show, and the End Well Summit. Through her storytelling and tireless advocacy, Emma is reshaping the national conversation around caregiving, dementia awareness, and the importance of asking for help.
