He provides expert analysis weekly throughout the NBA season and playoffs. Kenny is also a key studio analyst for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, airing on CBS Sports and Turner Sports. In January 2021, Kenny was honored with the prestigious National Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy Award, recognizing his impactful contributions to civil and human rights, the social justice movement, and his efforts to inspire future leaders through sports. In 2015, he and his family showcased their dynamic lives in the TBS reality series The Smiths. As a player, Kenny enjoyed a stellar 10-year NBA career, winning back-to-back championships with the Houston Rockets in 1994 and 1995.
