Kerri Walsh Jennings is a five-time Olympian, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and one-time bronze medalist in beach volleyball. A standout athlete from the start, she earned four First-Team All-American honors at Stanford University, where her teams won two NCAA National Championships (1996, 1997) and finished as runner-up in 1999. After representing the USA indoor volleyball team at the 2000 Olympics, where they placed fourth, Kerri transitioned to beach volleyball, beginning a legendary career. In 2001, Kerri partnered with Misty May-Treanor, forming the most dominant duo in beach volleyball history. Together, they won three consecutive World Championships and three Olympic gold medals, establishing an unparalleled legacy over 11 years. The pair achieved an incredible 112-match winning streak, surpassing their previous record of 89 consecutive victories. Their partnership not only set new standards for excellence but also elevated the sport’s profile both in the U.S. and internationally.
Off the court, Kerri is a proud mother of three and the wife of fellow volleyball athlete Casey Jennings. The couple co-founded Platform 1440 and the p1440 Foundation, organizations dedicated to empowering and inspiring youth through the transformative power of volleyball and sports. Kerri is also an owner of the San Diego Mojo, a team in the Pro Volleyball Federation, where she continues to advocate for expanded opportunities in the sport. Officially retiring from Olympic competition in 2023, Kerri now focuses on her family, building a meaningful legacy, and creating a bright future for the volleyball community worldwide.
