Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer hosts our NYC Speaker Showcase

Famed New York City restaurateur and hugely popular Hospitality speaker Danny Meyer was in Madison Square Park this month to host our exclusive outdoor Speaker Showcase. Why this venue? Its the site of Danny’s first Shake Shack restaurant and he shared the story of how a once forgotten park in the middle of Manhattan now receives over $1M each year from that restaurant’s profits—to continue to restore and beautify this now renewed city park. Our meeting professional partners who joined us for this special event heard not just from Danny as he spoke to his People-first culture at his restaurants as well as his bestselling Customer Service book “Setting the Table,” but 3 other memorable and affordable keynote speakers:

Keynote Speaker Magic Johnson continues his winning ways at podiums nationwide.

Top rated Leadership and Motivational Keynote speaker Magic Johnson started off the year with a bang at the podium, receiving standing ovations from the likes of our customers with Jackson National Life and MarketCounsel. Since then its just been a series of trips criss-crossing the country with a keynote speech and appearance that truly set Magic Johnson apart from all the rest. Magic takes the time to mingle with your key executives in the Green Room pre-keynote speech as he’s signing balls and jerseys, and then his keynote speech NOT from the stage but strolling through the aisles of your audience and stopping for selfies along the way is all part of this memorable experience.

Our customers are raving about…Susan Salgado.

Few keynote speakers have had such a dramatic impact on corporate agendas as Leadership Keynote speaker Susan Salgado. Susan spent 15 years in the customer services trenches working alongside restaurant maven Danny Meyer at his Union Square Hospitality Group, and the lessons Susan learned from these experiences in the restaurant industry have direct application to any business that serves clients or customers.

We’re onsite at your meeting. How does that help the process?

Our meeting professional customer-partners rely on us daily to provide the likes of Magic Johnson, Peyton Manning, Robin Roberts, Simon Sinek, Danny Meyer, and the highest profile speakers in America. But by taking that extra step—by actually showing up at these important meetings with our business motivational and leadership speakers (at no additional cost to our partners)—the experience for our customers is so much more rewarding.

The Trend is to Storytelling

With the newest addition to the world of online content introduced recently as Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s Quibi, the importance and the value of storytelling has once again grabbed headlines. Quibi is short for Quick bites of video that will be played out in 10 minute episodes to be viewed on a mobile phone. As Jeff Katzenberg is quoted, “Quibi is playing a pioneering role in crafting a new form of storytelling that combines elements of feature film storytelling and episodic television.”

Storytelling expert Kindra Hall x 4 equals 4 Standing Ovations

We were back in Denver this week visiting the hottest new property in America for yet another memorable agenda. The venue: The Gaylord Rockies Resort—where the term “Grandeur” may be used again and again. The keynotes: Peyton Manning (Denver Broncos legend and must-have if your meeting is coming to Denver) and the high-energy of keynote speaker Kindra Hall who gave 4 standing room only sessions on Effective Ways to Use the Art of Storytelling to your Business Advantage.

The Uniqueness of a Magic Johnson Keynote Speech

In just one month this year, we’ve had the opportunity to join Magic at 4 standing ovation speeches to organizations in varying industries: Healthcare, Insurance Sales, Mortgage Lending, and Investment Advisors. Magic Johnson will tailor his keynote speeches to address issues that he’s faced relative to Dealing With Competition, Leadership, Adapting to Change, and Giving Back to the Community, but it seems there’s always a common thread: these audiences that Magic is addressing are comprised of individuals just looking to do better in life–whatever that looks like to them personally–and Magic feels that the key component of success is the ability to give back and help others attain their goals.

City Ambassadors: Your best audience draw in New Orleans

So you’re having your next convention in New Orleans, the Birthplace of Jazz. Sure, we’ll confirm famed Saints quarterback Drew Brees, LSU football Head Coach Ed Orgeron (with his Cajun accent that few can understand), or even NOLA-based Archie Manning (the father of Peyton and Eli) to motivate and inspire while welcoming your team to Louisiana. But in the city where Jazz was first introduced to America, no conference is complete without a clear understanding of just how this era of music got started there in New Orleans in the late 1800’s. And no better storyteller than Ben Jaffe, the lead of The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. And for a conference coming to New Orleans, Ben and his band have a turn-key program that is the ultimate General Session.

Mentalist Oz Pearlman: The business takeaways you may not know about.

Since reaching the finals of America’s Got Talent, New York City-based Mentalist Oz Pearlman has become a household name on the corporate meetings circuit and on the morning talk show circuit, stunning audiences from Citi, H&R Block, IBM, Epic Insurance, General Electric to Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Good Day New York. IBM’s meeting professional put it best: “I’ve worked with a number of guest presenters, from war heroes to politicians to industry experts to athletes. None prepared or showed more passion in doing a great job for our event than Oz did!”.

What’s in a name?

What’s in a name? If it’s a draw to a Southern California conference, a lot!

Janet, Carey, and Allison Shine in San Diego

A TED-talk setting was all The Direct Response Marketing Association needed last night in San Diego at The Hilton Bayfront. Before 300 marketing executives in the infomercial industry, Olympic Champion Janet Evans, Female Fighter Pilot Carey Lohrenz, and Emotional Intelligence expert Allison Massari each took the stage for 20 minutes on Leadership, Teamwork, and Resiliency. And each talented speaker built her own talk off of the other two. 3 standing ovations later, raving fans of Janet, Carey, and Allison had been formed, and we’re just so proud to have delivered this memorable event on stage.

Danny Meyer on 60 Minutes!

One of the country’s most requested motivational speakers Danny Meyer took center stage once again this week as he was profiled by Anderson Cooper on CBS’ 60 Minutes. It was an in-depth look at what makes America’s most successful restauranteur continually turn every project he touches into gold….as Danny has managed to keep 14 restaurants and now one very successful hamburger chain Shake Shack amongst the top-rated restaurants in the country (Meyer refers to Shake Shack as “fine casual dining”). As Danny affirms, the keys to his successes are the creation of a culture of happy employees, ensuring the hospitality-factor is delivered to his guests at the highest level, and keeping a uniform level of quality and service at all of his establishments. We are proud to represent keynote speaker Danny Meyer for your next meeting.

Vin Scully

Before 2,000 financial advisors in Nashville this week, Vin Scully opened with his signature introduction to wish everyone a “pleasant good morning” and to let them know that “it’s time for Dodger baseball.” And the lyrically descriptive style and sweet-sounding voice that millions of Americans have loved over the last 68 years of a truly iconic broadcasting career didn’t disappoint. Vin was at his storytelling best on this day, and attendees were hanging on every word. Two standing ovations in fact.

Memory Champ is the Perfect Combination of Education and Entertainment

USA Memory Champion Ron White and his memory skills lived up to the hype once again last week. Before 120 top financial advisors of Kestra Financial and their spouses, Ron not only recited every person’s name that he had memorized at an earlier breakfast–but he went on to teach attendees the techniques he uses to remember clients’ names, to recall key points for a speech, study habits for your kids, and so much more. Check out the video below of Ron in Kestra’s meeting room–systematically recalling the names of each audience member so they can sit down and enjoy his talk.
